Prince Harry Melts Hearts With One Detail in Meghan's New Family Photos — and It's All About Lilibet
A proud dad moment had the internet talking and handing Harry a gold star.
Meghan Markle gave royal watchers another peek into her low-key family life when she shared a sweet photo carousel featuring Prince Harry and their children on Instagram. From Princess Lilibet's playful Beyoncé-themed t-shirt to a cameo from the family's pet beagle, the post painted a picture-perfect portrait of the idyllic California life. But it was one image of Harry playing with Prince Archie that surely passed the vibe check. In it, the Duke sported a 'Girl Dad' T-shirt in a sweet nod to his little girl, Lilibet, winning hearts on the internet.
Markle's sun-kissed photos featured snapshots of nature alongside glimpses of her private life. And one of the snaps was Harry kicking around a giant football as Archie waited for his turn, all while sporting the sweet t-shirt. Then again, the Duke had always expressed a strong desire to have a girl. During a royal tour of Australia in 2018, while expecting Archie, he was recorded enthusiastically responding, "So do I!" to a fan who shouted that she hoped the child was a girl. Moreover, during their 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, he beamed beside a pregnant Markle, "To have a boy and then a girl, what more could you ask for?"
After fans spotted Harry's loving tribute to his daughter, they took to X to praise his smart outfit choice. A netizen beamed, "Look at Prince Harry, he has on his girl daddy T-shirt. He's not getting rid of that…I'm glad they're happy and having a fun summer break." In a similar vein, another gushed, "Princess Lili's papa, such a proud girl's dad." Meanwhile, another penned, "Our Sporty Prince. Love that Harry still got his 'Girl Dad' T-shirt." As the comments poured in, a royal watcher pointed out, "OMG, such a cute picture! The ball is bigger than Archie!!"
Unsurprisingly, Harry is not the only proud parent who has worn a T-shirt honoring his children. Markle, too, has sported a t-shirt that read 'Mama' during day four of their 2026 Australia tour. Interestingly, the shirt is linked to the Alliance of Moms, a nonprofit that supports pregnant and parenting young people in Los Angeles' foster care system. The organization was co-founded by the Duchess's close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen, whom she also accompanied on the red carpet in Beverly Hills on March 19, while cradling the expectant mother.
