Prince Harry's Holiday Dilemma: Star-Studded Parties With Meghan Markle or U.K. Pub Nights With 'Old Chums?'
Prince Harry's solo ventures away from Meghan Markle reportedly have him "on the prowl," and new reports suggest the fiery-haired prince could be set to spend Christmas in Britain.
"Meghan is concentrating on her American Rivera Orchard lifestyle brand which is dependent on Netflix, while Harry has been flying solo with his charity work," royal author Phil Dampier told an outlet.
"He clearly feels a need to return to the U.K. and Africa for various causes like the Wellchild Charity and Sentebale in Lesotho, and I think he wants to look up old friends he has drifted apart from," he added. "Sometimes in the U.S. he looks uncomfortable or just plain bored when he is out and about with Meghan at showbiz or sporting events."
The expert continued, "And during their trips this year to Colombia and Nigeria he looked like a bolt-on accessory while she seemed to be the dominant partner."
Amid these issues, royal expert Emily Andrews wrote, "Prince Harry is keen to spend the Christmas holidays in the U.K. with his wife and children — but Meghan wants to stay in the U.S. It's a tricky time for Harry — he hasn’t spent Christmas here for six years and he could be forgiven for feeling rather lonely and estranged from his Windsor relatives."
Many royal analysts and Sussex critics have continuously pointed out how the ex-actress "steals the spotlight" whenever the pair venture out together.
In light of this, royal author Ingrid Seward shared, "I feel that he needs to get out more because when he does speak when he's actually giving a talk, he's very eloquent. From this Lesotho trip, I couldn't quite get what he was trying to do. Maybe he was just trying to raise the profile of the charity, but much better for him to do it without his wife because otherwise attention's deflected onto her and what she's wearing."
The ex-working royal was reported to "never want to set foot" in Britain "ever again."
"I'm sure he's lacking some mates he can go out with for a beer and truly relax," royal commentator Phil Dampier dished when the Duke was in London in late September. "The more he does things on his own and carves out some new projects, the more likely it is he can heal himself and eventually some of the divisions with his family, but it's going to be a long road."
With his charitable endeavors set to occupy much of his future time, some analysts are again taking an observant look at the state of Harry and Meghan's marriage. However, numerous analysts dismiss such reports as "bogus."
The Sun reported on the expert revelations.
