A 'Treacherous Brother' and Wicked Stepmother: Prince Harry 'Distrusts' Prince William's Newfound Bond With Queen Camilla

Harry, Duke of Sussex, is not pleased with how his brother, Prince William, is bonding with 'dangerous' and 'wicked' stepmom, Queen Camilla.

Prince Harry does not like how Prince William is bonding with their "dangerous" stepmother, Queen Camilla.

"For Harry, Camilla was the wicked stepmother back then, and she still is," royal author Tom Quinn told an outlet when discussing Harry's true feelings for his stepmother.

"It's all very sad, but shows that the huge geographical divide between the brothers — Harry in America, William in London — has become a physical manifestation of their emotional separation, he added.

Quinn continued: "He really distrusts that William actually gets on rather well now with Camilla — Harry will see this as a betrayal. He was shocked when William realized that Camilla, far from being the monster they thought her when they were children, is actually a rather nice woman."

The author pointed out how "she is exceptionally good at listening with a sympathetic ear and William has definitely warmed to that," before concluding, "Harry on the other hand sees this as one more example of William letting the side down — for Harry things have never moved on really since his mother died."

After Diana, Princess of Wales, died in the late summer of 1997, William and Harry developed a close bond at the ages of 15 and 12, respectively. This closeness of royal brothers reportedly lasted "until the late 2000s when both were excelling in their military careers," according to a former royal courtier.

This is despite the future Duke of Sussex putting on a smiling and cheerful appearance next to his sibling at his father, the then-Prince Charles' marriage to his "former mistress" Camilla Parker-Bowles on April 9, 2005.

The Duke of Sussex-to-be "shocked many" when he wrote negatively about his stepmother in Spare. The 39-year-old reportedly feels that his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, who died nearly 27 years ago, should be called Queen since he "can only picture her with that title next to his father, the King," according to a palace insider.

"Like most forms of hatred, it seems based on envy; envy of the fact that his father’s marriage to Camilla is, as he has publicly conceded in the past, 'very happy,' and envy, perhaps, of the humorous and invaluable support she will give him now," royal and society journalist Patronella Wyatt wrote.

The scribe further revealed: "Harry seems to have a problem with other people’s happiness, and has spent the past year trying to make his closest relatives miserable. He has a suspicion of anyone with a superior capacity for having a good time. Were Camilla wretched in her marriage, he would doubtless rush to embrace her and assure the public of his friendship."

Wyatt also suggested that the fifth in line to the throne would "rush to embrace Camilla," but only if her marriage to his father became "wretched," which is to suggest the fiery-haired prince thrives on drama.

It seems like the California Duke cannot stand that his brother is also warming up to Queen Camilla.
