The Palace reportedly is on the edge over fears that Prince Harry might release a second explosive book. As per reports, this time the book will target the royal family over their alleged stripping of state-funded security for Harry and his family. After losing his appeal, Harry expressed his disappointment in an interview, telling BBC's Nada Tawfik that the court's decision left him heartbroken. He further asserted that he can now never think of bringing his family back to Britain.
Harry also made the bombshell claim that his security was stripped in a deliberate move to 'trap' him within the royal family and discourage the move to the US. As reported by The Sun, a royal source said, “This is clearly intensely personal. There are fears about what he might do if the decision goes against him. This could not come at a worse time.” Recently, Harry had also hinted that the public would be stunned by what is being held back, and insiders suspect these comments might be a subtle warning that there is more to come.
Commenting on the same, another source argued, “There is a lot of worry that Harry could tell all in a book deal or even follow Meghan’s lead and make a podcast. He has hinted he has discovered secrets during the hearings, particularly regarding the treatment of him and Meghan, that would shock us all.” The person added, “It is a veiled threat, essentially that he will tell all if it doesn’t go the way he wants it to.” Meanwhile, royal editor Matt Wilkinson noted, "He says it would shock people. So that would be one in one sense. Is that going to be enough material for a book?”
As reported by the Daily Express, the editor added, "He also said in the promotional interviews following the publication of Spare, his bombshell autobiography, that he had enough material for a second memoir.” Wilkinson further cautioned that if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex find themselves backed into a corner, their last option may be to reveal more royal secrets—a move that would raise serious alarms for the Palace.
Insiders are also worried by one comment Harry made in his recent BBC interview. Harry had argued that some people want to put him in danger. When asked who he meant, Harry delivered a cryptic response. When asked who he was referring to, Harry responded, “I am not going to share, at this point.” Harry's three words, ‘At this point,’ suggest that while not now, he might potentially reveal the names at some point in the future, quite possibly in another book.
