Prince Andrew cannot seem to escape the scrutiny over his shady connections and past misgivings. First came the exposure of his controversial ties to Jeffrey Epstein in 2019, and now a bombshell new book has lifted the lid on his alleged affairs and questionable financial dealings. The investigative biography by royal author Andrew Lownie alleges that the Duke of York was notorious for having more than a dozen affairs within the first year of his marriage to Sarah Ferguson, even making unwanted advances toward nannies behind her back.

Lownie’s book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, sheds light on the private lives of Andrew and Ferguson behind closed doors. As reported by The Mirror, the author quoted a former driver who claimed the Prince had indecent relations with over 12 women before his and Ferguson’s first wedding anniversary. The driver alleged that the Duke had relations with more than 1,000 women in his lifetime. A model recalled, "He told me he had an open marriage arrangement with his wife. I felt like he used me for a few days, so he could live his wildest fantasies."

The book mentioned that when Andrew represented the crown at the King of Thailand’s Diamond Jubilee in 2006, he reportedly demanded more than 40 women be sent to his hotel room. A witness spilled, "Often, as soon as one left, another would arrive. Some days, more than 10 women are said to have gone to the Duke’s hotel room." Epstein's former driver, Ivan Novikov, also recalled, "One time I drove him and two young girls, aged around 18, to a hotel. Both girls were doing lines of cocaine. Prince Andrew was making out with one of them." The Duke, subjected to a myriad of allegations, is also said to have made unwanted advances toward his children's nannies and coerced them to date him behind Ferguson's back.

Speaking of the Prince's many alleged affairs, perhaps the most shocking claim is that Andrew allegedly had an affair with Epstein's girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell. In serialized excerpts in the Daily Mail, Lownie revealed, "Andrew and Ghislaine were good friends, and over the years had been occasional lovers—and through her, the Prince had come into the ambit of her boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein." The author shared that Maxwell reportedly helped Andrew reinvent his social image, revamped his wardrobe, and managed his calendar, all while leveraging their connection to secure profitable business deals. He added, "She [Maxwell] introduced him to many of the women with whom he had brief flings, but she also drew him further into Epstein's net."

According to Parade magazine, the biography cited a source who dished, "Sarah discovered Andrew wasn’t coming home on some of his leave. He was going elsewhere – and this just drove her crazy." Meanwhile, Lownie wrote of Ferguson's alleged insecurity during her husband's time in the British Navy, "She didn’t like the fact she was a shore widow, and to discover she was shore-widowed intentionally really hurt."
