The caption read, "All your pantry favorites, bundled together," accompanied by a swan symbol. It continued, "Made for stocking up, sharing, and savoring at home. Shop pantry bundles at AsEver.com." Despite the refreshing details and the bright, luxurious set-up, royal fans couldn't help but notice one subtle detail hinting at Markle's nod of support for Charles Spencer's latest memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.
The 'swan' symbol in the caption faced significant backlash from observant social media users, who viewed it as a direct allusion to the title of Spencer's recent memoir. Markle's post came shortly after the Earl publicly defended the Sussexes' ongoing security challenges. "Interesting. What’s up with the swan emoji? What does a swan have to do with bundling purchases? Nothing. But it does have to do with a certain book being pushed by her uncle-in-law," @unreMARKLEble criticized on X. "Meghan Markle using a swan emoji on her latest Instagram post (in reference to Charles Spencer's book about his sister - Swan Song: Diana, My Sister), showing the same level of nasty vindictiveness as Charles Spencer. Meanwhile, there is no indication that the Sussexes had prior knowledge of the book's contents. In fact, during his recent appearance at an Invictus Games event, Harry remained tight-lipped and practically refused to acknowledge any controversy surrounding his uncle's memoir.
However, according to royal expert Richard Kay's claims, Harry is planning a television documentary dedicated to his mother's legacy. Speaking during an episode of the Daily Mail's Palace Confidential, Kay revealed that allegedly, one of the main agendas for the Duke's UK return has been motivated by this project. He further claimed that the Duke has been reaching out to friends and acquaintances of the late Princess of Wales for contributions, an endeavor set to occupy much of his focus over the next year. Kay was also quick to point out that the initiative has reportedly infuriated Prince William, who remains deeply estranged from his younger brother.
