Meghan Markle’s recent Instagram update gave royal fans a glimpse of their fun summer getaway. Among the vacation snaps, one photo of Prince Archie sitting inside an airplane cockpit quickly stood out. It hinted that the young royal may have something in common with his cousin, Prince George.

In the photo, Archie sat in a cockpit, looking right at home as he held the controls with a pilot's cap perched on his head. Crew members stood nearby, smiling as they let the seven-year-old enjoy the experience. It seems Archie, much like his dad, has already developed a fascination with flying. Dressed in a pair of jeans, a red-and-white tee, and a blue pilot's hat, he looked in his element, his hands on the yoke.

The moment also brought to mind George's recent outing with his mother, Princess Kate. During their Armed Forces Day visit to RAF Coningsby in June, the future king was all smiles as he explored aircraft, met pilots and engineers, and climbed into the cockpit of a Spitfire. Seeing both boys so excited around airplanes, it seems they may already have one hobby in common.

George's interest in planes goes back a few years. In 2024, reports claimed he took his first private flying lesson, spending about an hour in the air with an instructor while William and Kate watched from the ground. Since then, many have wondered whether he could one day follow his father's path. Before becoming a full-time working royal, William trained as an RAF search and rescue pilot before later flying for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Similarly, Harry is also a trained military helicopter pilot. He learned to fly fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, eventually qualifying as an Apache helicopter co-pilot gunner during his service in the British Army.

In the carousel, Markle also shared a photo of Harry, Archie, and Lilibet walking through the grounds of what is believed to be Althorp, Princess Diana's childhood home. Harry and Archie were both carrying large bouquets of flowers, leading many to speculate the family had visited Diana's gravesite on the estate.
