Prince George Just Dropped A Major Hint About His Future — And It Runs In The Family
Prince George has long been fascinated by aircraft and is even said to have taken part in a private flying lesson.
Over the years, royal fans and experts have repeatedly pointed out the striking similarities between Prince William and his eldest son, Prince George, from their facial features and smiles to their mannerisms at various public events. Whether attending football matches with his dad, appearing on royal balconies, or even while posing for official birthday portraits, George has often been described as William's 'mini-me.' A similar situation occurred recently when the young royal made a public appearance alongside his mother, Kate Middleton, to mark Armed Forces Day. And now, a recent public appearance alongside his mother, Kate Middleton, to mark Armed Forces Day may have just revealed that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in more ways than one.
For the special day, George wore a dark blue blazer paired with a coordinating blue shirt, giving him a smart, mature look as he boarded the aircraft at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. The video from the event was shared on the official social media page of the Prince and Princess of Wales with a caption that read, "Honoring Service and Sacrifice. Marking Armed Forces Day by reflecting on time spent with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby. Learning about the extraordinary history of these aircraft and meeting the pilots and engineers who keep their legacy alive." Watch the video here!
Speaking of George's interest in aviation, he has long been fascinated by aircraft and is even said to have taken a private hour-long flying lesson back in 2024. On the last day of his school's summer holidays, he took to the skies alongside a flight instructor while his parents watched him. The lesson took place at White Waltham Airfield in Berkshire, which is located very close to the Wales family's home in Windsor. Such instances have also fueled widespread speculation that the young prince may one day follow in his father's footsteps.
It is no secret where George gets his love of flying from. Prince William has had a distinguished aviation career, having trained as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot and later serving as a full-time pilot with the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Known as Flight Lieutenant Wales during his service, William conducted 156 search-and-rescue operations, rescuing 149 people over the course of his career. He has also completed over 1,300 flying hours in total since joining the Royal Air Force.
Meanwhile, the passion and love for aviation appear to run in the Wales family. It was previously revealed that Prince Louis, George's younger brother, has also shown a keen interest in aircraft, even hinting at his dreams of becoming a fighter pilot when he grows up. This detail was made public by Middleton during her visit to RAF Coningsby last October, as reported by HELLO Magazine. While meeting personnel at the base, she had the opportunity to try a flight simulator, and during a conversation afterward, she revealed Louis's dream and added, "I'm going to tell them (her children) it takes eight years and a lot of hard work."
