Meghan Markle Reportedly Reaches Out to Martha Stewart, Insider Claims— And It's Not Going Well
Meghan Markle reportedly wants to deal with this before it turns into a major Hollywood feud.
After Martha Stewart’s recent comment about Meghan Markle allegedly discussing her family’s reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla at a Hollywood dinner, she seems to have sparked some fresh controversy. The tension is particularly interesting given Stewart’s previous comments about Markle’s move from acting to royal life and then into lifestyle television. Frankly, this seems to be slowly turning into a celebrity standoff, and that’s precisely why Markle is now reportedly trying to smooth things over with Stewart. In fact, several people have allegedly even spoken out against Stewart’s claims. The dinner’s host seemingly contacted PEOPLE! and called Martha’s account “simply untrue.”
Allegedly, the host also went on to defend Markle by adding that she didn’t say anything about the European journey beyond the fact that “the family had a great time.” Furthermore, she also described Stewart as “confused.” Even Markle’s friends apparently pushed back in favor. However, during an interview with Rob Shuter on Naughty But Nice, a source made it clear that Stewart has no intention of taking back her comments and plans to stand by them. While elaborating on the same, the source close to Stewart exclaimed, Martha said what she said!” While clearly defending what Stewart said, they further added, “She was there, she remembers the conversation, and she has no reason to invent it.”
Now, adding a twist to the tale, it seems like Markle has apparently reached out to Stewart directly. It seems this is because the Duchess of Sussex would rather resolve the ongoing situation privately than allow the disagreement to fester and grow. An insider close to Markle also elaborated on the same, as they said, “Meghan would rather talk to Martha directly than let this become a bigger thing. She wants to clear the air and doesn’t want this hanging over them.” Unfortunately, there are no reported positive responses from Stewart’s side so far. The reported outreach also comes at an interesting moment for Markle.
After all, the Duchess has been working to strengthen her presence in the lifestyle and entertainment space lately. A public disagreement with someone in the industry as established as Stewart could easily create another unwanted distraction, particularly after the dinner-party comments began circulating widely online. For now, the situation appears to remain unresolved, leaving royal watchers wondering whether the two women will eventually address it face-to-face.
