From Buckingham Palace to... Skid Row royalty? Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's four-year-plus attempt to reign supreme in Hollywood has reportedly failed. In her "neverending" bid to become a Hollywood A-lister, the Duchess of Sussex may have to settle for "D-list" notoriety!

The royal rebels thought, "'We'll be at the center of this sort of royal court, and everyone will come to see us,'" royal expert Richard Eden dished. "But it never seems to be working out like that."

Harry and Meghan can't seem to conquer Hollywood.

This insight about the Sussex Hollywood freeze-out picking up steam again follows Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte's famous meeting and selfie with pop superstar Taylor Swift on Friday, June 21.

"It's a very different relationship because, essentially, Taylor Swift is here, and she wants to show her respect for the royal family," Eden added when comparing how celebrities tend to become starstruck by the royals. "In a way, you could say [she is] paying court to Prince William, whereas with Harry and Meghan, it's the other way round. They're the ones who seem to be always sucking up to Hollywood royalty."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were briefly 'frozen out' in Hollywood during the summer of 2023.

Harry and Meghan's attempt to transition into Hollywood has been met with varying degrees of scrutiny and challenges. Moving from the structured world of British royalty to the competitive and often unpredictable entertainment industry presented hurdles to the pair, even with Meghan's past acting experience.

Their shift involves not only adjusting to different roles and public expectations but also competing with established actors and personalities already entrenched in Hollywood. Furthermore, the public's perception of their move from royalty to entertainment figures adds another layer of complexity, with their motives and abilities frequently questioned.

During the summer of 2023, the Montecito twosome experienced a "freeze out" in Tinseltown. The Duke of Sussex spilled too many secrets for some in his memoir Spare, such as an incident where he wrote about finding "chocolate mushrooms" in Courteney Cox's refrigerator. The Friends star was surprised by the fiery-haired prince's revelation and told an outlet, "I definitely wasn’t passing them out."

"My sources tell me it’s all about the money, and the big power players in Hollywood aren’t jeopardizing their businesses for Harry and Meghan," television producer Paula Froelich told an outlet last July. The French executive pointed out how longtime Sussex pal Oprah Winfrey had also jumped ship and frozen out the Montecito royals.

Prince Harry hasn't spoken to his brother, Prince William, in a long time.

The Royal Observer previously reported on many big-name Hollywood elites avoiding Harry and Meghan. The reason stems from the town's love of British royalty and pageantry, which reportedly has the likes of Steven Spielberg, Rob Lowe and others ignoring Team Sussex to stay on Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales,' good side.
