Insider Reveals Beatrice & Eugenie Are ‘Trash-Talking’ William: 'They’re Their Parents’ Daughters'

While Beatrice and Eugenie missed the carol service, they will reportedly be in attendance at Sandringham for the annual Christmas celebration.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have their own reasons for turning against Prince William and Princess Kate. According to reports, the sisters were left devastated after their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, were stripped of their royal titles and privileges. While they acknowledge their parents’ faults, they remain their daughters, and the fallout has been incredibly difficult for them to accept. It also doesn't help that their own standing within the royal household has been felt fragile due to William’s reported disdain for their parents.

King Charles, however, is said to have stepped in and made significant efforts to safeguard the sisters' positions. While they still retain their place in the royal hierarchy, they remain quietly resentful, so much so that they declined to attend Kate’s fifth annual 'Together at Christmas' carol service, even after the Princess extended a personal invitation.

According to broadcaster Neil Sean, who spoke for Fox News Digital, the royal family wanted the sisters' attendance at the service to be a show of a united front after the difficult year. Talking to National Examiner, an insider revealed how Beatrice and Eugenie are unhappy with the circumstances and specifically 'trash-talking' William. "These bad feelings towards William will do them no good in the long run, but right now, the emotion is running sky-high," explained the insider. Beatrice and Eugenie are also allegedly upset about being used as leverage to convince their father to step down from his royal standing.

“Everyone’s telling them how lucky they are, but the fact that William was using that as a bargaining chip was something that still sits very badly with them,” revealed the insider. “They can’t help themselves. At the end of the day, they’re their parents’ daughters, very headstrong and defiant, and that’s really coming to the fore,” the insider concluded.

Meanwhile, Sean elaborated that the carol concert invite put the sister in a 'very difficult dilemma,' as it served as a two-edged sword. "If they don’t attend, it looks like they’re snubbing a prestigious invite. If they do attend, they know there could be a media circus with them at the center of attention." Beatrice and Eugenie reportedly are looking to keep a low profile, and they decided to miss the event and post a formal apology on social media.

“Wish Bea and I could have been celebrating tonight with our family. Wishing @princeandprincessofwales such a special evening at her incredible carol service. What an amazing message of love and hope," Eugenie wrote on Instagram. Interestingly, the sisters are reported to be in attendance at Sandringham for the annual Christmas celebration with the royal family, although their parents are no longer invited. Their attending the celebration will be an ode to the King, who has stood by them through the entire fiasco.
