If reports are to be believed, Prince Harry has reached out to Diana's friends and special connections for a documentary film. Royal expert Richard Kay revealed this while appearing on the Daily Mail's Palace Confidential segment. "I am told that one of the reasons Harry's here is to make a television film, his own film, about his mother. I know he has been reaching out to his friends and others who knew her, asking them to contribute. That's going to occupy a lot of his headspace over the next 12 months," he claimed.
Now, Spencer has hinted at the same in his memoir without explicitly naming his royal nephew, but the signs are clear. "With the thirtieth anniversary of Diana's death in view, I was again declining endless, repeated requests to appear in documentaries about her from, to name just a few, a nephew from Diana's biographer, Andrew Morton, and from Tony Blair's spin doctor, Alastair Campbell," the Earl highlighted while describing his intentions of penning the book.
The Earl expressed a strong preference against participating in documentaries shaped by external producers or networks, emphasizing his intention to share his memories authentically. However, he refrained from specifying which one of his royal nephews was interested in the project, GB News reported. Spencer's latest memoir aims to offer an honest portrayal of Diana ahead of the 30th anniversary of her passing, echoing the sentiments of his famous funeral address. He emphasized that his sister deserves a truthful account free from widespread inaccuracies and misinformation.
Meanwhile, sources have confirmed that the Duke is actively working to honor his late mother's legacy through a film project. "The Duke has discussed a number of possible projects to mark the 30th anniversary of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales's passing. Nothing has been finalized or confirmed, and he is still considering the most meaningful way to honour her legacy during this important anniversary year," the Daily Mail reported. The proposed documentary would reportedly be produced by Archewell Productions as part of the Sussexes' multi-year deal with Netflix. The revelation comes at a sensitive time for the royal family, landing amid the widespread media attention surrounding Spencer's new memoir.
