Prince Harry Once Again Dodges Questions Over Charles Spencer’s Explosive New Memoir

Since moving back to the UK, Prince Harry has gradually stepped back into the public eye, with his latest appearance bringing him to the WellChild Awards. However, his return to the spotlight was once again overshadowed by family drama. Harry was asked about his uncle, Charles Spencer, following a series of explosive claims that has put the royal family under renewed scrutiny.
As he arrived at the London venue on Monday evening, Harry was met by reporters waiting outside. He attended solo once again, just as he did for his first public appearance after returning to the UK. And much like the previous appearance, he faced the exact same question—which he sidestepped once more. The Express reported that one journalist called out to ask about Earl Spencer, shouting, “Have you spoken to your uncle?”
The Duke of Sussex brushed off the inquiry as he made his way towards the WellChild Awards. Choosing not to respond verbally, he offered only a brief wave to those gathered outside before heading into the venue for the annual ceremony.
This was not the first time Harry had been put on the spot over his uncle’s book. As previously mentioned, just days earlier, according to OK! Magazine, as he arrived at an Invictus fundraiser in London, a reporter called out to ask how he felt about Earl Spencer’s memoir. Harry did not stop to respond and moved straight into the venue, leaving the question unanswered.
The media attention comes as interest remains focused on Earl Spencer’s new memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister. Harry’s maternal uncle recently sat down with the BBC to discuss the book, which includes a series of claims about the Royal Family following Princess Diana’s death.
Recalling the days following Diana’s death, Spencer described a phone call he alleges took place with the then-Prince Charles. He claimed the conversation turned tense after he objected to Prince William and Prince Harry walking behind their mother’s coffin during the funeral procession.
