A few weeks ago, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was threatened by a masked man while he was walking his dogs near his new Marsh Farms estate. While the suspect, Alex Jenkinson, was quickly arrested on multiple charges, the subsequent investigation uncovered far more chilling details. Police discovered that Jenkinson wasn't just targeting the disgraced prince—his digital footprint revealed extensive research into Princess Kate, her children, and various "methods of killing."
Reported by The Telegraph, Jenkinson is facing fresh scrutiny ahead of his trial next month. While police were investigating the incident, they reportedly uncovered a large number of internet searches related to guns, knives, and explosives. He was also found to be searching about other members of the Royal Family, including Princess Kate and her 11-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte. The discoveries led to an interim stalking protection order (SPO) being issued against him.
James Farrell, representing Suffolk Constabulary, told the court that authorities were concerned about Mr. Jenkinson's online activity. He warned that if left unchecked, the defendant “could get fixated on more weapons and methods of killing and that could spiral out of control with more serious consequences.”
Deputy Senior District Judge Tan Ikram issued a stern warning to Jenkinson, stating that any violation of his strict travel and internet restrictions could result in up to five years in prison. The 39-year-old was arrested on May 6 after allegedly stalking Mountbatten-Windsor—the King’s younger brother—on foot and by car near his Sandringham Estate home. Prosecutors claim Jenkinson was wearing a balaclava and camouflage clothing during the incident and that armed officers discovered a wooden-handled axe and a rock in his possession when they intercepted him shortly after.
The incident led the disgraced ex-Prince to push for taxpayer-funded security for himself. He had lost his publicly funded police protection after stepping back from royal duties after his ties to convicted s*x offender Jeffrey Epstein had resurfaced. Following that, King Charles also stripped him of his titles and evicted him from the Royal Lodge last year.
Moreover, Mountbatten-Windsor’s situation has become even worse with renewed allegations. An alleged Epstein victim has revealed that she was taken to his home in Windsor “for s****l purposes.” While the controversy continues to follow him, the ex-Prince has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and has maintained that he was unaware of the late financier's criminal activities.
