Prince William and Kate Middleton have been acing their royal duties, proving that they are ready for their future responsibilities as King and Queen. While the Waleses have impressed everyone with their calm and poise, their latest portrait has sent royal fans into a frenzy as they believe it confirms they might receive the baton from King Charles and Queen Camilla soon.
Following the grand welcome of the French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, the royal family gathered for a state banquet in Windsor. As always, the Prince and Princess stunned in their formal attire as they mingled with the guests. Ahead of the banquet, the Waleses also posed for an official royal portrait, which was later shared on social media. According to Tyla, as the picture went viral, eagle-eyed fans noted details in Middleton’s outfit.
The Princess paired her dark red silk Givenchy evening gown with a pair of long statement earrings that previously belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth. In an ode to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, she also donned her favorite tiara to the high-profile event. Sharing the portrait, the couple wrote, “Ready for what promises to be a wonderful State Banquet this evening in Windsor.” While at first glance it seems like a normal, happy picture of the couple, royal watchers believe it reflected their slow transition into their future roles as the King and Queen of England. Reacting to the photo, a fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Are they trying to tell us something?
