The Wales family released their own annual Christmas card after King Charles III and Queen Camilla released theirs.

The black-and-white photo depicts William and Kate along with Louis, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, all smiling for the camera. Louis is standing with his left arm placed on an armrest before the odd appearance of his hand comes into view. Numerous commenters chimed in on X to present their theories behind the strange detail.

"Just saw @extratv report on Prince Louis’ 'missing finger' being the worst photoshop ever. How embarrassing and gross for them to report on this. Do better," one defender of the image claimed, while another shared, "I've never heard of anything so stupid. His thumb is hidden."

Upon close inspection, the fourth in line to the throne's thumb is tucked behind the armrest, which simply creates a wide space between his middle and ring fingers. The Prince of Wales was also the source of image conspiracy speculation, as some seemed to think he was missing a leg in the pic.

"Where is Willy's bottom half? Consider the angle of his supposed right leg, his left leg should be visible in the chair opening unless he's trying to do a split?" someone pondered.

Prince Louis at the 2023 'Together at Christmas' concert.

This follows the third annual "Together at Christmas" concert arranged by the Princess of Wales in Westminster Abbey on December 8. Characteristically, Louis stole the show once again as he mischievously blew out sister Charlotte's candle as they processed through the ancient church.

The prince was labeled a "national treasure" earlier this year thanks to his scene-stealing performances at King Charles III's coronation at the same venue, as well as Trooping the Colour in June. Louis first made an adoring spectacle of himself at the 2022 Platinum Jubilee celebrations, which brought a visible smile to the late Queen Elizabeth II's face as she watched his antics unfold.

His re-emergence in recent days follows a busy autumn season for the Wales children.

Prince George, Princes Louis and Princess Charlotte all attended mom Kate Middleton's third annual Christmas concert on December 8, 2023.

"So this half-term holiday may not be quite like his previous holidays and could involve a certain amount of revision. That will be doubly hard with his sister and little brother having all the fun, but I’m sure William and Kate will find a healthy balance that will allow George to join in most of the time," royal expert Jennie Bond shared back in October.

She continued: "George will be their priority right now because of his exams and his future schooling to consider. Charlotte is relatively carefree, but as the only girl, she’ll no doubt command special attention. Louis is the little kid on the block — probably getting away with murder while their parents are too busy with the others to chastise him!"
