Rewatch the Special Moment Louis, George, and Charlotte Quizzed Sir David Attenborough as He Turns 100
The video dates back to 2020 and marked the first time Prince Louis was heard speaking in public.
We often come across moments involving young royals like Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis that capture huge public attention. This is because royal fans are always eagerly waiting to see their rare glimpses, whether it’s their playful reactions during royal events or sweet interactions with well-known personalities. For instance, one such adorable clip has resurfaced today, on the occasion of Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday. The clip features George, Charlotte, and Louis asking the popular broadcaster some questions about animals and the natural world.
The video dates back to 2020 and marked the first time Louis was heard speaking in public. The little prince asked, "What animal do you like?" Responding to this, Sir David said, "I like monkeys best because they are so much fun." But he went ahead, also giving the little prince, best known for his cheeky behavior, some practical wisdom. "Mind you, you can't have monkeys sitting around the home because that's not where they live. So what can you have at home that you like? Well, which would you choose - a puppy or a kitten? It's a very difficult question. I think I'd go for a puppy." Watch the video here!
Further in the video, George, the eldest son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, asked which animal he believes could become extinct next. To this, the broadcaster replied, "Well, let's hope there won't be any. There are lots of things we can do when animals are in danger of extinction. We can protect them." Giving an example, he shared the remarkable recovery of mountain gorillas in Central Africa. Around 40 years ago, only about 250 remained, but their numbers gradually increased to more than 1,000 due to greater awareness and fundraising efforts.
Furthermore, Charlotte, who was five at the time, confidently greeted Sir David before revealing that she liked spiders and asking whether he liked them too. In response, he said he loved spiders and labeled them as 'wonderful things,' even expressing amazement at how cleverly they build their circular webs. Meanwhile, on the occasion of the broadcaster's 100th birthday, several members of the royal family shared their heartfelt wishes on social media platforms. For instance, Prince William praised his lasting impact on environmental awareness and thanked him for continuing to be an 'inspiration' through his work with the Earthshot Prize, while King Charles and Queen Camilla also took to their social media to wish the conservationist on his 100th birthday!
