Kate, Princess of Wales, shocked the world on March 22 when she released an "emotional" video revealing that she was battling an undisclosed form of cancer. But less than a month later, during her "preventative chemotherapy treatments," HRH may already be prepared to return to "certain" public events.

"What I am hearing from those close to the Princess is that she may well decide to attend certain events if she feels up to it, and if she's keen to go," royal correspondent Cameron Walker dished to GBN.

Carole Middleton has reportedly been 'taking care' of her daughter, Kate, Princess of Wales.

"But in terms of a return to full-scale public duties and as a full-time working royal, I suspect that will take some time," he added. "But maybe we'll see her at some point this summer. It just depends on how her treatment goes."

These details come amid a recent report that suggested Carole Middleton is helping to hold the Wales household together in the wake of her daughter's preventative cancer treatments.

"Carole has been the driving force keeping the family together with minimum fuss and maximum modesty," a Middleton family friend spilled.

The future queen's willingness to return to her public duties also follows King Charles III's recent Easter Sunday appearance and walkabout with his subjects.

The Princess of Wales and King Charles III are both receiving treatments for undisclosed types of cancer.

"The King was greeting the crowds quite unexpectedly," Walker explained. "We weren't expecting him to do so. And that shows there's a real sign that the treatment appears to be going in the right direction. And I think those close to King Charles are really hoping that that's a positive sign."

He continued: "As we look towards the summer, the Trooping the Colour ceremony and the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings are two events the King is keen to attend. They look more likely than they perhaps were back in January. And of course, the Australia tour, which is being talked about and certainly is not being ruled out by royal sources today."

King Charles III is tentatively set to undertake a two-week royal tour of Australia and New Zealand during the autumn of 2024.

The monarch and his consort would undertake a "whirlwind" two weeks this autumn, touring cities in both oceanic countries as well as Samoa. The King has visited all three nations in the past during his years as the Prince of Wales and is said to be "eager" to be amongst his subjects in what will be over two years since he acceded to the throne.

"The King is raring to go after a significant amount of time off due to his cancer diagnosis," a palace insider revealed.

Some reports also suggest that Princess Kate and Prince William are set to reschedule their tour of Italy, which was originally set to commence this spring. The pair are allegedly also in talks with the Foreign Office to undertake a two-week tour of Canada in the near future.
