Princess Charlotte's Trooping the Color Moment Had Everyone Saying the Same Thing About Princess Diana

During the event, little Charlotte, who had celebrated her first birthday just weeks earlier, was seen cozying up in the arms of her mother, Kate Middleton, as they witnessed the grand parade and roaring flypast. As reported by HELLO Magazine, the little princess appeared adorably confused by all that was happening around her, and her wrinkled nose and cute expressions won over everyone. Many fans even claimed that her facial expressions looked very similar to one Diana had made during her own first birthday back in 1962.
Diana's childhood photo was taken at Park House in Sandringham and featured her sitting on a picnic blanket in a cute white dress with puffed sleeves. Additionally, her tousled blonde curls framed her face perfectly as she looked at the camera. Decades later, Charlotte also wore a similar styled puff-sleeve pink outfit with just one noticeable difference being her darker hair color. This wasn't the only time people noticed their similarities. In the royal family’s 2018 Christmas card, fans once again pointed out that three-year-old Charlotte’s facial expressions looked surprisingly similar to one Diana made in a photo from 1970.
Apart from their similar expressions, Charlotte even shares Diana’s warm and caring nature, with many claiming that she shows the same kindness that her late grandmother was so loved for. Speaking of this, a source previously said, "Charlotte is so kind and friendly, and the other children adore her. She's kind to the kids in younger years, and she's very popular." Meanwhile, during Prince Philip’s 2022 memorial service, many royal watchers closely observed Charlotte's behavior, with some noting that her mannerisms reminded them of Diana.
As reported by The List, popular body language expert Judi James said, "Charlotte, looking touchingly like the queen when she was small, showed body language traits that are more like her granny Diana. She also picked out several of the cameras with her eyes, as Diana always remembered to do." In addition to this, Charlotte is also said to share another similarity with her late grandmother — a love for healthy, vegetable-packed meals, something Diana herself was known to enjoy.
