Princess Beatrice's Royal Future Hits Roadblock Amid King Charles and Prince Andrew's 'Toxic' Soap Opera Feud
Although Princess Beatrice is one of King Charles III's Counsellors of State, the junior royal may have to wait on any hopes of a senior royal upgrade. A source said Her Royal Highness being sidelined once again is due to the "toxic soap opera" rift between her father, Prince Andrew, and her uncle, the King.
"She might help out at things occasionally, such as the Prince of Wales's garden party earlier this year," they revealed. "But it's not a phased introduction into royal duties — it's just her supporting the family."
Since the monarch decided to "slim down" the royal family after his mother, Queen Elizabeth II's "bloated court," analysts have shared how Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, 34, could join the working ranks. All senior royals who represent the Crown for life receive taxpayer-funded security and travel costs.
"There has been much chatter about the possibility of the York sisters becoming working royals, but it is understood Beatrice and Eugenie will be limited to informally helping out when necessary," royal correspondent Cameron Walker wrote.
This insight comes as the Royal Lodge fight intensifies as scandal-ridden Andrew is determined to defeat the monarch for the sake of "Beatrice and Eugenie's inheritance."
"Andrew has no intention of moving out, and it’s extraordinary that his brother has chosen to reopen this battle via anonymous briefings to the press." a friend of the former Jeffrey Epstein confidant spilled.
"It's like they [the palace] have learned nothing from the whole Harry and Meghan debacle," the friend added. "Andrew does not have a huge amount in his life anymore; the house is one of the few things keeping him going, and the idea that he is going to throw that away along with his children’s inheritance is just absurd."
They continued: "The place is perfectly well maintained, and the notion that Andrew is in dire financial straits is not remotely accurate. He still has the support of plenty of friends and has plenty of business interests."
Additionally, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 41, Beatrice's aristocratic husband, is reportedly set to help his disgraced dad-in-law with the renovations for the "rotting" Royal Lodge.
This led home design expert Terry Fisher to share, "Royal Lodge appears to be showing visible signs of aging, including peeling paint, mold on exterior bricks, and likely underlying damp or poor insulation," before adding the cost would be "upwards of 250,000 pounds (roughly $316,000)."
The outside of the mansion, in which Andrew has lived since 2003, is one thing, but the state of disrepair also reportedly extends indoors with signs of "royal hoarding."
This news suggests the disgraced Duke could be ignoring his brother altogether and focusing solely on satisfying the demands of the Crown Estate, which holds his lease on the property.
