Prince William May Finally Be Ready for a Reunion With Harry — But Not Without a Legal 'Contract'

Prince William reportedly has a strict list of conditions for Prince Harry before he'll even consider repairing their fractured relationship.

Prince Harry may have reunited with King Charles, but his relationship with Prince William is still as strained as ever. However, according to a recent report, the Prince of Wales is apparently under immense pressure to reconcile with his brother. But William is said to have a few conditions that need to be met before any reunion.

As per palace insiders, Woman's Day reports, any reunion will happen only on William's terms. A source claims that the future King has no plans to make the process easy for Harry and Meghan Markle. The insider claims William wants a legally binding "peace contract" in place before he even agrees to sit down with his younger brother.

One insider revealed, “Harry might have charmed his way with his father, but it’s going to take a lot more than a few feeble gestures to convince William to give him another chance.” William reportedly believes the damage caused over the past few years runs too deep to simply forgive and forget. The source added that he remains deeply disappointed by what he sees as Harry and Meghan Markle's refusal to take responsibility, especially given the impact their actions have had on the monarchy. From their infamous Oprah interview to Harry's memoir Spare, William and Princess Kate are said to have endured years of hurt and public embarrassment.

“There have to be consequences. Starting with a public apology from both Harry and Meghan to him and his wife,” the insider said. If the Sussexes want to be welcomed back into the royal fold, they will have to follow a strict set of rules laid out by the palace. The proposed agreement is said to leave "zero wriggle room" for any future disputes or controversies.

The reported "peace contract" is said to include several strict conditions. They would reportedly have to stop making any public comments about the royal family, including future interviews, documentaries, or tell-all projects. They would also need palace approval before mentioning senior royals in public. The proposed agreement is also said to call for an end to the couple's unofficial overseas "royal tours" and set clear limits on how Markle can use her royal title and status to promote commercial ventures, including her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

Not everyone is expected to agree with William's reported stance, but supporters believe his cautious approach is justified after everything that has happened since the Sussexes' exit. The source explained, “William says a legally binding contract is the only language the Sussexes will understand.”
