Prince Harry Lists His Many Job Titles—Including "Prince of England" in Candid New Podcast Interview
Joe Marler's podcast brought out Harry's cheeky side, complete with a bold 'Prince of England' introduction and plenty of laughs.
Prince Harry brought his A-game to the table during his UK trip, making a standout appearance on former England rugby star Joe Marler's podcast, Joe Marler Will See You Now. Stepping away from typical royal formalities, the Duke of Sussex was in unfiltered form, trading quick-witted banter with the host. When asked about his occupation, he rattled off an unexpected yet cheeky list of roles before finally settling on "Duke." It was a lighthearted moment that proved, royal titles aside, the Windsors still know how to deliver a punchline.
The interview, posted on the podcast's YouTube channel, showed Harry sitting across from Marler and introducing himself as "Henry Albert Charles David, Duke of Sussex." When asked about his occupation, he quipped, "Full-time dad. British Army veteran. Prince of England. Duke. But for today, I don't know. What do you want?" before settling on "Duke." Marler then asked if Harry would consider himself an "inventor" in reference to the Invictus Games, but the Duke noted he preferred the title "founder." Although he and Meghan Markle stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020, they still retain their titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Marler and Harry kept the laughs coming as they jumped into a rapid-fire Q&A, where the Duke was asked to name the most famous person on his contact list. Without missing a beat, he mentioned that they were "probably" Dylan Hartley and James Haskell—two former rugby rivals Marler famously clashed with on the pitch. While it was a perfect, harmless jab at the host's expense, in delivering the punchline, the Duke seemingly forgot that his own wife, Meghan Markle, is a famous Hollywood star best known for her role as Rachel Zane in Suits.
Adding to the fun, the host asked the Prince which famous Harry he would swap lives with if given the choice: Harry Styles, Harry Kane, or Harry Potter? Harry opted for the soccer star, replying, "Kane, on a winning day... You don't want to be Kane on a losing day, do you?"—a nod to the striker currently in the spotlight as Team England continues their unbeaten run in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. When probed further, the Duke also agreed with the hopeful sentiment that the trophy might finally be "coming home" to England this year.
The episode, co-hosted by Jake Bhardwaj, also featured Harry's close friend, former Royal Marines Commando and Invictus Games gold medalist JJ Chalmers. Greeting his longtime pal, Harry cheekily remarked, "So glad you're here. It's been weird." When Chalmers joked about whether they were doing "couples' therapy," the Prince quipped, "Now you've made it even more weird." The conversation eventually turned to the Invictus Games, a central focus of Harry's UK trip, during which he, his wife, and their children also reunited with King Charles.
