Meghan Markle's 45th Birthday Post Mirrors Princess Lilibet's Sweetest Summer Photo
For her milestone birthday, Meghan Markle seemingly took some fun inspiration from her daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Usually, daughters tend to channel their mothers. However, Meghan Markle chose to go the opposite route, recreating Princess Lilibet’s iconic moment for her 45th birthday post. On Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex posted two pictures for her special day that were uncannily similar to her daughter’s photos from their European summer vacation.

The first picture captured her joyous leap, while the other recorded the splash after her jump. A week ago, the Duchess had posted some snaps from their summer vacation. In one of the photos, Prince Harry was spotted flipping Lilibet in the swimming pool as Prince Archie swam nearby. The sweet moment was captured as the young princess was high in the air. That picture, just like Markle’s birthday post, was black-and-white.
The Duchess kept her chic black sunglasses on as she jumped into the water. She also seemed to be sporting a swimsuit that had appeared in her summer dump. The high-waisted black monokini drew comparisons to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana’s black swimsuit. In her vacation pictures, Markle had worn the piece on the beach as she looked at Harry and their kids running into the waves.
Markle captioned her birthday post, “Thank you for the birthday love!” and further added a balloon emoji. Last year, she rang in her 44th at the Funke in Beverly Hills and claimed that the “extraordinary” meal prepared by chef Evan Funke was among the “top five meals” of her life. She thanked the culinary expert for the “standout dining experience”. Fans will surely be waiting for more birthday updates from the Duchess.
Last year, the former Suits star returned to Instagram after a years-long break and has been sharing brief glimpses of her home life in Montecito ever since. Through her, fans get a tiny peek into the family celebrations and happy moments. For her and Harry’s eighth wedding anniversary this year, Markle had baked a lemon elderflower cake - the same flavor as their wedding cake from 2018. Wonder if she will do something similar for her birthday.
The Duchess will certainly celebrate her special day with her loved ones, and she might also expect some adorable homemade gifts from Archie and Lilibet. The siblings had prepared some presents for their parents' anniversary this year.
