Meghan Allegedly Keeping Harry on a ‘Tight Leash’ With Strict Rules During Australia Tour: Source

Insiders claim Meghan Markle has imposed a tight leash and strict curfews on Prince Harry during their high-stakes Australia tour.

The world’s attention was fixed on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they touched down for their tour of Australia — not just for their wardrobe choices — but for any visible cracks in their marriage. A wave of reports suggests that the Duchess is reportedly operating on high alert, even as she maintains a front of smiles and coordinated outfits, to mask tensions behind the scenes. From strict curfews to a blacklist of former flames, the alleged rules of the road hint that her trust in the Duke is now hanging by a thread.

The primary source of the friction is said to stem from Harry’s colorful past in the land Down Under. Speaking to Woman’s Day, a source pointed out that to keep the Prince’s past strictly in the rearview, the Duchess has allegedly initiated a rigorous strategy to ward off his ex-girlfriends, leaving no room for ‘accidental’ reunions, stating, “Meghan's drawn a hard line on making sure there are no 'accidental run-ins' with his rumored Aussie exes, including Natalie Imbruglia.” Apparently, for Markle, who views this tour as a critical moment for the commercialization of ‘Brand Sussex,’ past relationships have no place in the itinerary.

While the Duke has been spotted enjoying the local nightlife, those outings reportedly come with a digital ticking clock. Markle is said to be leaving nothing to chance, even implementing a strict curfew to guard against a resurgence of the ‘Party Prince’ persona of his twenties from making an unwanted comeback in Australia. “There's no denying he has a terrible track record when it comes to his judgment once the drinks are flowing, so this comes down to Meghan feeling he needs to be on a tight leash,” the insider told the outlet. Representatives for the Duchess have hit back, calling such claims factually incorrect and suggesting that the couple’s tight schedule leaves no room for such drama — yet the narrative of a controlled environment continues to gain traction.

Social media sleuths have been characteristically unforgiving, analyzing every frame of the tour and pointing to Markle’s habit of clutching Harry’s arm during an engagement as a sign of being territorial rather than affectionate. One user pointed out, “She won’t let him do anything unless she’s involved,” while a second sneered, “Will you STOP with the grabbing, pawing, fawning, touching, clutching? Do you know exactly how stupid and insecure you look?” A third questioned, “What are his rules for her, besides whatever Meghan wants, Meghan gets?” Calling out the timing of the hand holding, a fourth netizen said, “There's a time and appropriate place for this. It's like they're trying to prove something.”

The sense of control goes beyond their personal dynamic. Harry and Markle have reportedly ramped up their private security to unprecedented levels after being threatened by online trolls who planned to record the Duchess’s ‘Her Best Life’ retreat. “Security is tight for the entire tour, but especially the women's retreat — after trolls vowed to disrupt and secretly record the event…In fact, Meghan's demanded even tighter controls, in addition to the professional security they've funded.” Whether these rules are a sign of a protective partner or a crumbling trust remains the subject of an ongoing debate.
