King Charles’ Sent a Clear 'Message' to Harry With His Latest Move With William, Says Expert

King Charles’s birthday as a monarch was celebrated in all its grandeur with the annual Trooping the Color. Following the ceremonial parade, the monarch stood on the Buckingham Palace balcony with senior working royals to wave at the huge crowd that had gathered. The family showcased a united front for the prestigious event, and according to a body language expert, Charles also sent a clear 'message' to his estranged son, Prince Harry.
Body language expert Judi James told the Daily Express, “Posing in the glorious sunshine in front of the cheering crowds, the [royal family] proved once again what they are good at and what has been crucial for their survival: stoicism and the 'never complain, never explain' philosophy.” She further claimed, “The King might have looked tetchy in the carriage on the way to the Palace, but he was all good humor and warm smiles on the balcony, even nudging Louis for a chat at one point." Noting also how the King 'picked out' Prince William for a conversation on the balcony instead of Kate Middleton, like he has often done in the past, James argued that it sent across the important message of a ‘new era’ in the monarchy.

James opined, “This father-son exchange of words looked important and symbolic. Charles tends to pick out the most important people in his life at that time to pay attention to during a balcony appearance.” She further asserted, “Kate has often been the object of his attention, but to chat to William suggested a new era of warmth and compatibility between the two men.” As for William, she said, “William's pose resembled the pose he would adopt when talking to his grandmother, too. With his hands clasped in front of his torso, he signaled a sense of respect to his father and to the Crown. As a message to Harry, Charles, and William would have signaled unity and united purpose.”

Besides Charles and Queen Camilla, William, Middleton, and their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, Prince Richard, Duchess Birgitte, Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie, Princess Anne, Sir Timothy Laurence, and Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, also made an appearance on the balcony. Harry and Meghan Markle have not attended the ceremony since 2019.
Harry has expressed his desire to reconcile with his family in his bombshell interview with the BBC. However, none of the royal family has yet addressed his public plea. Insiders instead claim that they do not trust Harry. The Duke himself stated that his family may never forgive him after his explosive revelations in his memoir, Spare. Nonetheless, some believe that he may reunite with his father in 2027, as he will return to the UK for the Invictus Games in Birmingham.
