King Charles’ Royal Reunion With Harry May Have Left William and Kate ‘Humiliated,’ Claims Expert

A royal expert claimed the King's latest gesture toward Prince Harry has deepened tensions with the Waleses.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex received a warm welcome, as they, along with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, privately met King Charles at Highgrove House. Many had also hoped the trip would lead to an emotional reunion between Prince Harry and his estranged brother Prince William. However, tensions seem to run high between them, as they even avoided crossing paths while carrying out engagements despite being just miles apart. Now, royal expert Emily Andrews has weighed in on the King's unexpected olive branch, suggesting that the Prince and Kate Middleton likely feel 'humiliated,' as they are believed to want to keep their distance from the Sussexes and had reportedly urged the monarch to do the same.

"This meeting looks like a triumph for Harry and Meghan," Andrews highlighted in WomenandHome Magazine. The royal expert explained that Harry's departure from the monarchy and his subsequent public criticisms, as shared through Oprah, Netflix, and his memoir Spare, have caused enough damage, hurt, and betrayal to the royal family. Hence, the Prince of Wales has been firm on his stance that the couple should not have been granted a private meeting with the King.

She further noted that "Charles' first duty is not to the spare. It is to the heir and his wife," reflecting Queen Elizabeth II's long-standing commitment to placing the institution above sentiment. She further warned that the Sussexes are looking only for personal gains, disregarding the late Queen's explicit prohibition of a half-in/half-out situation, which is not sitting well with the Waleses. "And what can William and Kate do? Not much, if we’re honest, until William is King," Andrews stated.

The royal expert asserts that the feud may not see an end since Prince William rarely mentions Harry in royal circles, even though their father's capitulation is expected to sting. Sources indicate that Kate and William are unwilling to forgive the Duke for his misinterpretations about the royal family and especially their bond in Spare, leading to crisis talks about recent developments behind closed doors. Andrews indicated that the Waleses' relationship with the Sussexes appears irreparable even in the future run. Meanwhile, King Charles allegedly remains open to family time despite ongoing issues, indicating that 'blood is blood' as per a close source.

According to recent developments, King Charles is ready to welcome Prince Harry with open arms once again in September. The monarch has reportedly made arrangements for the Duke to reside in Buckingham Palace, making it obvious that their relationship has improved after the intimate meeting at Highgrove.
