King Charles, Queen Camilla 'Delighted' As Princess Eugenie Welcomes Baby Girl

Princess Eugenie is celebrating the birth of her third child with husband Jack Brooksbank. The couple has welcomed a girl, who is yet to be named, in Portugal, their second home, on Monday. The new royal baby, who is 15th in the line of succession, will be a younger sister to August Brooksbank, five, and Ernest Brooksbank, three. Buckingham Palace shared the good news: "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6.20 pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal." The Royal Family posted the first glimpse of the child on the official Instagram handle.

"The baby was born weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces. Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news," the announcement further stated. GBN News reported that both the mother and the baby are in good health. The publication also revealed that the couple is considering the name for their new daughter while spending quality time with August and Ernest. The 36-year-old new mum shared the news on Instagram with the caption: "Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie," followed by five red heart emojis.

It was reported that King Charles was thrilled when Princess Eugenie first shared the news of her pregnancy. "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer," the official statement read, which was posted on the Royal Family Instagram. It was accompanied by a photo of August and Ernest holding a sonogram.
Brooksbank works in sales, marketing, and promotion for Discovery Land Company, managing the luxury CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club in Comporta. Although styled Her Royal Highness, Princess Eugenie, who works at the Hauser & Wirth gallery, does not perform royal duties but receives private-sector salaries. She holds the HRH title by birthright as the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, under rules established by King George V in 1917.
