The Princess of Wales will resume her royal duties after Easter 2024.

Furthermore, the insider shared how "They’ve all made her some 'get well soon' cards along with some of her favorite snacks." They also dished how the future queen is already "planning engagements and speaking with her team" about how she will approach her post-procedure royal duties sometime after Easter.

They continued: "Kate will still be healing for several weeks, but is already eager to get back to work."

The princess' procedure has been widely reported as "serious," with no further details provided as to the cause leading to the surgery.

"We don't know what's wrong or why she needed the operation," psychiatrist Dr. Max Pemberton told an outlet when highlighting Kate's predicament. "But Kate has always struck me as quite down-to-earth, level-headed, and stoical, so I'm sure she wouldn't have heeded medical advice and taken that much time off unless really necessary. Of course, there's always someone who will tell you how they had a hysterectomy in their lunch break, or their appendix removed while on the school run."

In the meantime, Prince William has broken royal precedent by totally clearing his schedule of duties to be with Kate — which has proved to be a controversial move.

"I mean, in years gone by, if a senior member of the [royal] family was ill, their spouse would not drop everything," author Robert Hardman shared with a publication. "They’d carry on, and the children would be left with the nanny or nannies. And this time, Prince William has made a very conscious decision he’s going to step back from his duties. He’s putting the family first, and he’s doing that for a very specific reason."
