Prince Harry’s relationship with the royal family remains strained following his controversial BBC interview. The Duke of Sussex is reportedly searching for a new purpose as his family continues to give him the cold shoulder. Royal expert Jennie Bond believes that Harry might soon launch a commercial venture. She warned that his ‘profit-driven’ path could stir trouble for him and possibly leave him more frustrated.

It is widely reported that Harry is eyeing a new venture, while continuing to focus on his Invictus Games Foundation. Bond told The Mirror, “I think this commercial route opens him up to all sorts of accusations of trading on his royal status, which would make him an even angrier young man than at present.” The expert added, “By normal standards, he's a very rich man, but life in Montecito doesn't come cheap, especially with all the security costs he deems necessary.” Sadly for the Duke, he lost his appeal for taxpayer-funded security in the UK last month, following years of court battle. This means that he would have to continue to pay for security from his own pocket.

The Duke of Sussex has been active in the charitable sector, headlining various events and awards. Most recently, on May 26, he made a surprise visit to China to promote his eco-friendly travel business, Travalyst. Commenting on his recent public appearances, Bond remarked, “There's nothing wrong with being a stay-at-home dad and using his influence to help charities around the world…He should perhaps stick to what he's born to, trained for, and truly good at.” Harry’s unexpected trip to China interestingly coincided with King Charles’s trip to Canada for his throne speech. The expert said of the clash, “Fortunately, it seems not to have overshadowed Charles and Camilla's trip to Canada. In fact, it seems to have made very little news at all.”

Harry was heavily criticized for allegedly using a private jet to travel to China, despite his speech on ‘eco-friendly travel.’ Bond called out the Duke’s hypocrisy, but also reasoned with him over one aspect of his speech. She argued, “The irony of flying across the world to promote sustainable, environmentally friendly travel is hard to ignore. Surely a video speech would have been more ethical?” She added, “The same criticism could be lobbed at William flying around the world to host the Earthshot Awards, but sometimes it just raises the profile in a way nothing else could.”

Harry’s plans to start a commercial venture come amid reports of a ‘professional divorce’ from Meghan Markle to focus on the same. The couple would appoint separate chiefs of staff as part of their new chapter. As reported by GB News, an insider spilled, “Harry is unkindly described as the 'spare' to Meghan's endeavors…Now it is his time to throw himself into exciting new work.” They added, “Invictus will always come first, but he has also been working on commercial ideas of his own,” which are allegedly to be revealed later this year.
