Ex-KGB Spy Makes a Bombshell Accusation Against Andrew: 'He Immediately Started Hitting on Her'
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has faced many blows to his reputation, particularly regarding his conduct around women. The release of the Epstein files did more harm to his already damaged public standing, forcing him into quiet exile. Now, a former KGB agent has come forward, alleging that during a private dinner, Mountbatten-Windsor showed interest in a woman he was courting. He claimed that the former Prince made a pass at her while he was briefly absent, reviving troubling accusations from the past.
As reported by the Daily Express, Alexander Lebedev, a businessman and former KGB officer, refused to reveal the name of the woman but spoke of her alleged experience. In an interview on the Russian channel, RTVI, he said, "Once I was out with a charming girl, and Prince Andrew was sitting in the restaurant. The moment I went to the toilet, he immediately started hitting on her, just like that." Weighing in on his poor conduct, he also asked, "The question is, why did Prince Andrew not become the subject of investigations?" Lebedev served as an officer in the KGB's First Chief Directorate (foreign intelligence) during the 1980s.
Unsurprisingly, this isn't the first troubling revelation surrounding Mountbatten-Windsor's alleged weakness for women. An email, released by the US Department of Justice in the latest tranche, showed that Jeffrey Epstein was looking to introduce the former Prince to a 26-year-old Russian woman. In response, 'The Duke' said he would be in Geneva "until the morning of the 22nd, but would be delighted to see her," before asking, "Will she be bringing a message from you? Please give her my contact details to get in touch." He also inquired whether there was "any other information you might know about her that might be useful to know?" Epstein then described the woman as "26, Russian, clever, beautiful, trustworthy."
Another set of emails, dated September 27, 2010, showed Mountbatten-Windsor inviting the disgraced financier to Buckingham Palace. In it, he said, "I am just departing Scotland, should be down by 1800. I'll ring you when I get down if you can give me a number to ring. Alternatively, we could have dinner at Buckingham Palace and have lots of privacy. A." For his part, Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied being inappropriate with women, denying their accusations in the past.
Moreover, royal author Andrew Lownie has also spoken about Mountbatten-Windsor's alleged penchant for polygamy. In his book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, he alleged that the then-Prince once demanded more than 40 women be sent to his hotel room. A witness was quoted saying, "Often, as soon as one left, another would arrive. Some days, more than 10 women are said to have gone to the Duke's hotel room." The author also quoted a former driver who claimed Mountbatten-Windsor had affairs with over 12 women before his and Sarah Ferguson's first wedding anniversary.
