Drew Barrymore’s Wild Comment About 'Hot' Prince Harry Had Meghan Markle Blushing: "Every Time I See..."

Drew Barrymore couldn't have been more clingy and inappropriate during Meghan Markle's appearance on her talk show. The interview, filmed on March 4—the same day Markle’s new Netflix series With Love, Meghan premiered—took an unexpected turn when the host brought up Markle's marriage to Prince Harry, leaving the Duchess slightly flustered.
As reported by InStyle, Barrymore said, “Every time I ever know anyone who ever knows you guys talk about how hot—this is the keyword. Everyone. And they are different people from different walks of life.” Markle responded, “What is she about to say?” The host continued, “They go, ‘They’re so hot for each other.’” Markle hid her face in her hands and let out an awkward laugh. As reported by HuffPost, Barrymore added, “Every time I see a photo of you, you’re holding hands, you’re kissing, you are so affectionate.” She opined that the love the couple shares shines impossibly bright.
In response, Markle blurted, “I mean, look, life is full of surprises. I did not expect to meet H [her nickname for Harry] and for this to be our love story and, you know, I'm very lucky.” She couldn’t help but gush about Harry, calling him the funniest, kindest, and most charming person she knows while also applauding his incredible parenting skills.
During the segment, Markle also reminisced about her college days and shared a story about something the father of a child she used to babysit for once told her. He allegedly said, “Meghan when you meet your person one day, I want him to say to you the same thing that I said to my wife when we got married, which is: ‘I vow to always date my wife.’” Markle shared, “And I told H that when we started dating, and he goes, ‘I vow to always date you.’ So, we have this connection, I think, because we're so committed to treating each other the same way you did before you had a ring on it. Before it was locked down. When you’re just courting each other and you can see all the good and joy during that butterfly period.”
Interestingly, before she became a royal, Markle was once asked in an interview if she’d date Prince William or Harry if she had the chance. With little thought, she quickly answered, “Harry, sure.” Her answer became reality—and the two are now happily married with two children. As reported by Harper's Bazaar, their love story began with a blind date in 2016, introduced by a mutual friend. 2 years later, they got married in a lavish royal wedding in 2018 and have since never looked back.
