Bill Gates Finally Addresses His Infamous Photo With Andrew Found in Epstein’s Files
During a recent closed-door House Oversight Committee hearing on June 10, Bill Gates testified about his ties to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Despite coming from entirely different worlds — one a self-made tech tycoon and the other a British prince — Bill Gates and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor share a troubling connection: Jeffrey Epstein. The late financier's infamous files, which are being progressively released by a U.S. congressional committee, name both men. The documents even include photographs of Gates and Mountbatten-Windsor together, though Epstein himself is not in the frame.
During a closed-door House Oversight Committee hearing on June 10, Gates testified about his ties to the disgraced royal and the uncovered photographs. He maintained that the images were taken at official events and stated he had no knowledge of how or why they ended up in Epstein's personal files. He stated (via GB News), “Weirdly, in the set of photos that I guess Epstein kept, there is a photo of me and Prince Andrew at one of those official state meetings.”
He further added that his connection to the convicted pedophile was a “grave error in judgment” on his part. But in the same line, he maintained that there was no mention of Epstein during his interactions with Mountbatten-Windsor. "Never about Jeffrey Epstein," he stated, adding, "But nothing in connection with Epstein, even though Epstein seemed to have that picture, and it shows up in the Epstein files."
According to his testimony, Gates’ interactions with Mountbatten-Windsor were limited to two distinct occasions during official business trips to the UK. Given Mountbatten-Windsor’s previous role as a UK trade envoy, high-level meetings with a global tech leader like Gates were standard diplomatic protocol rather than unusual personal encounters.
The two photographs preserved in Epstein’s files corroborate this timeline, capturing both men in formal attire at official venues. The first image dates back to a 2007 gathering at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, while the second was taken during a 2018 meeting in London. When Gates was directly asked whether Epstein had attended any of these gatherings, the Microsoft co-founder issued a denial. "No, no, I never saw him in the UK, and those were both meetings in the UK," Gates testified, emphasizing that the disgraced financier was entirely absent from these specific events.
The photograph featuring Gates and Mountbatten-Windsor was part of a larger collection from Epstein's private archive, which was released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee late last year. The sweeping cache of documents also included images of Epstein alongside several other high-profile figures, including US President Donald Trump (prior to his presidency), former US President Bill Clinton, Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson, and filmmaker Woody Allen.
While Gates has not been majorly implicated because of this, Mountbatten-Windsor’s association with the disgraced financier has had severe consequences. The royal was previously stripped of his military titles and royal patronages as public scrutiny intensified. More recently, the scandal culminated in his arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office, a charge stemming directly from his ties to Epstein.
