5 Photos of Kate and William From Garter Day That Prove They're Still in Love
It's A Love Story
Kate Middleton and Prince William are easily one of the most beloved royal couples in history. And the reason is simple enough, they seem to love each other so much that they have made royal fans fall in love with them as well. Despite not really engaging in PDA, the pair has always displayed their adoration for each other through blink-and-you-miss-it moments, and their appearance on Garter Day was no exception.
But She's Looking at Him
Several days earlier, Middleton had sweetly declared her love for William during the cancer charity reception at St. James Palace. And her adoration for her husband was on display once again when she spotted him during the procession on Garter Day. The Princess of Wales simply couldn't take her eyes off her husband. The cameras were on her, but Middleton only had eyes for William as he walked past.
A Full Circle Moment
Although Middleton had arrived at St. George's Chapel in a car, she departed alongside William in an open carriage. As the royal couple waved at the fans that had gathered to see them, the Princess of Wales was caught stealing a glance at her husband, the loving look never escaping her eyes. The moment felt especially fitting, given that Garter Day was the very occasion that first introduced her to the world as William's partner back in 2008.
Magnetic Force of a Woman
While Middleton was caught many times staring admiringly at William on Garter Day, her glances were very much reciprocated. As the royal family climbed down the stairs of St. George's Chapel, the Prince of Wales was spotted looking over at his wife, who was standing a few feet away from him.
Buttons on a Coat, A Light-Hearted Joke
As Middleton and William departed St. George's Chapel in an open carriage, they were seen sharing a laugh as the princess seemingly tried to protect her wide-brimmed hat from flying away. The pair, who have often shared light-hearted moments during strenuous public appearances, once again showed how compatible they were.
She Likes Shiny Things
Perhaps one of the most obvious displays of affection between the beloved royal couple was when Middleton wore the same set of earrings that she had sported during her wedding to William. The custom Robert Pelham earrings were gifted to the princess by her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and featured oak leaves and acorns, which are symbols of the Middleton family's coat of arms that was granted to them ahead of the wedding.
