Prince William earned some major husband points this week for a small yet telling moment that did not go unnoticed. Unsurprisingly, the Prince of Wales dotes on his wife, and the same was on full display during their latest outing. Known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay while in Scotland, the two visited Radical Weavers, an independent tartan-weaving studio, to celebrate Scottish heritage and traditional crafts. To completely immerse herself in the experience, Princess Kate, wearing a beautiful blue tartan coat, stepped in for a hands-on weaving demonstration. As she sat down to do the same, she passed her coat to her husband, who, like a perfect gentleman, held on to it, watching attentively as she followed the instructions.

The charity visit took place while the two were in Stirling for back-to-back engagements. The Princess wore a royal blue custom piece created by Savile Row tailor Chris Kerr, paired with a simple black Zara turtleneck and black suede boots by Gianvito Rossi. The Prince perfectly complemented his wife by donning a navy sweater. While their appearance captured everyone’s attention at the scene, it was the affection between the two that was truly heartwarming for everyone. This marked their second joint appearance of 2026, and there were several PDA filled moments between the two.

After Kate's tartan weaving session, the two mingled with their well-wishers outside, shaking hands and clicking pictures with everyone. While posing, the Prince lovingly put his hands around his wife, much to the surprise of many. For the most part, the couple is a stickler for protocol and tries to avoid being too touchy and feely while on official engagements. But now and then, they quietly break such rules, especially after the Princess was diagnosed with cancer in 2024. While she is now in remission, the extremely difficult period made the heir apparent more protective of his wife and more open about showcasing his affection.

Their loving moments were perfectly captured in a video clip shared by the couple reflecting on Kate’s treatment journey in 2024. Along with their kids in the frame, the two were seen holding hands, kissing, and hugging. Following this, at Donald Trump’s state banquet, Kate and William posted a photo of themselves holding hands while standing outside Windsor Castle, much to the surprise of their fans. So, their recent PDA added another layer to their evolving public image.

Kate and William had a tightly packed schedule while in Scotland. They started by making a pit stop at The Kelpies in Falkirk, with the couple posing for pictures in front of the 30-meter-tall horse-head sculptures and later sharing the images of the same with the caption, “Starting the day in Scotland at The Kelpies.” After this, they headed straight to the National Curling Academy to show their support for Team GB and Paralympic GB, who are going to participate in the upcoming Winter Olympics. Interestingly, while playing a game of curling, Kate defeated William, with their friendly competitive rivalry on full display again.
