UK Prep School Sets Record Straight on Enrollment Rumors Regarding Harry and Meghan's Children
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are starting new school in Prince Harry’s homeland soon.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet moved back to Britain with their parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, last week. The Sussexes took a very expensive private flight from California to Britain, landing at Birmingham Airport. While the parents plan to settle in as private, non-royal residents, the young Prince and Princess will be attending a private school for the first time in my father’s homeland. According to reports by Page Six, this will reportedly be an unnamed institution fit for royalty, with the annual tuition exceeding $35,000.
Ahead of the new term, an Oxfordshire preparatory school has sent a letter to all parents addressing widespread speculation that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet might be attending. According to the official letter obtained by HELLO!, the school clarified that despite ongoing gossip about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex considering the private school, the headmaster had received no application as of September 1.
But the school's admissions team plans to remain “ever vigilant” about the same. However, the report chose to keep the name of the school on the down-low, out of respect for the Sussexes’ privacy. Furthermore, while discussing the fact that Archie and Lilibet will apparently attend the same school in Britain, unlike they did in the USA, Grace Moody-Stuart, a spokesperson for Good Schools Guide, explained, “I think they would be wise to do that because it is a big culture shock, however much, you know, their father's British, etc. I think it's a massive culture shock moving from a different country.”
Moody-Stuart also further added, “If the Duke and Duchess are choosing a sort of coed prep outside London, it will be a much more freestyle, much less pressured environment than perhaps Harry experienced." On the other hand, Joss Stone, who met Harry at the WellChild Awards last year, added, “He was saying how wonderful the schools are here and how important community is for children. It was nice to share that with him because it's exactly why we felt drawn to come back—for the kids to grow up surrounded by family, friends, and a strong sense of belonging and, most importantly, in a safe environment."
