Insiders say those around the former Duchess of York are concerned she could ‘go rogue’ in pursuit of a large payout — a move they believe would have serious consequences for her remaining ties to the royal family.
And behind it is the suggestion that Ferguson is laying the groundwork for a tell-all memoir, one where she spills all the beans. Mountbatten-Windsor’s final fall from grace and King Charles III’s decision to strip his younger brother, and by extension Ferguson, of royal standing following their long-standing association with convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein. Being forced to leave Royal Lodge has reportedly been deeply upsetting for both Andrew and Fergie, but insiders say it has hit her particularly hard.
