Royal Family is Aware More Andrew Scandals Could Be Coming Their Way, Claims TV Host
The decision to remove Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, quietly, from Royal Lodge may have looked administrative or have been done in haste to calm the angry subjects, but those who know what’s happening behind palace walls say it was deliberate—a preemptive move taken with full knowledge of what could still lie ahead.
During The Daily Expresso show, TalkTV host Mark Dolan claimed the Royal Family is bracing itself for further damaging revelations about Mountbatten-Windsor and King Charles’s actions, which are said to reflect a growing determination to create distance before the next storm hits. Dolan suggested that the speed and secrecy of Mountbatten-Windsor’s departure were no coincidence. “I've been told the Royal Family know that there's more stuff coming about Andrew. They are well aware of it, and they are doing everything they can to distance themselves from him, which is part of the reason why Charles has removed so many of Andrew's staff,” Dolan told Daily Expresso host JJ Anisiobi.
The disgraced former prince’s exit from Royal Lodge, the 30-room Windsor property he had occupied since 2004, saw him relocate temporarily to Wood Farm in Norfolk, ahead of a planned move to the nearby and significantly smaller property in Marsh Farm. The transition has been accompanied by a dramatic scaling down of the household that once surrounded the disgraced former Duke.
Speaking about the loss of personnel following the move, Dolan said, “These people have been paid off handsomely. Andrew used to have about 30 staff and 12 people in the communications department. Now he's going to be going down to three staff.” That transition, per Dolan, represents more than just a logistical change. It signals a break from the insulated life he had been accustomed to, and one he may struggle to accept. With Marsh Farm a five-bedroom home rather than a grand royal residence, Dolan suggested the King’s brother is now being forced into an unfamiliar reality. “Andrew's going after the embarrassment of not having to collect his own shopping from the front door is gonna have to replace the toilet rolls himself in the bathroom. There's no staff for that anymore. This is his new life, and I think it's going to break him because he's all about his status.”
The fixation of rank and ceremony, Dolan claimed, has continued to persist even though his public standing has collapsed. “It's all about the pomp. And reportedly, he still required people to call him Your Royal Highness, even though he had lost his HRH status. I can't verify that, but given my royal contacts, it wouldn't be out of character because the guy is considered arrogance personified. And what's interesting is, in spite of all this scandal, where's the contrition?”
Dolan was particularly critical of Mountbatten-Windsor’s silence in relation to Jeffrey Epstein’s victims, arguing that the absence of any visible remorse has only deepened public anger. “Where's his statement saying I'm worried for the victims? I'm sorry for these headlines. Where is his humility?”
He went on to say that images of him appearing untroubled by the controversy may have played a decisive role in hardening the King’s stance. “These stories are breaking, and he's driving around the Windsor Estate in a Range Rover, smiling at people. It has been suggested that they were the last straw for Charles when he saw the photos of Andrew emerging.”
