Meghan Markle, who still goes by Duchess of Sussex, has often been called out by royal experts as she keeps using her HRH title despite having stepped down from royal duties. Recently, after her Baby Mama dance video went viral, a royal commentator has urged her to ‘move on’ and not hold on to the idea of ‘being a princess.’

Royal Expert Jennie Bond, slamming Markle, told The Sun, “You are an independent woman with a husband who adores you. Just because he’s a prince doesn’t mean you have to hang on to the idea of being a princess.” She urged the former actress not to hold on to her royal title, as she despised her time in the family. Bond asserted, “You tried being part of the Royal Family and hated it. Time to move on, which, I think, is what this is all about.” The Duchess recently used her HRH title when she brought a gift basket for Jamie Kern Lima for her podcast, The Jamie Kern Lima Show. The note read, “With the Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex.”

The expert’s comments also came in light of Markle’s latest Instagram posts that received a lot of criticism. Bond termed the 43-year-old a ‘shrewd operator’ for releasing the Baby Mamma dance video, recorded in the hospital delivery room before Princess Lilibet’s birth in 2021. Markle on Instagram had shared, “Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work, there was only one thing left to do!”

As the dance video went viral, Markle was trolled with the moniker the ‘Duchess of Privacy’ by experts for sharing an intimate moment with her husband online, while often wishing for privacy. Markle, recently, has also reflected on the same during her latest podcast appearance. According to People magazine, she told the host Emma Grede, "You have to be authentic,” before asking, “Did you see my 'Baby Momma' dance?” In response, the host said, “We maybe watched it like 20 times yesterday, and I was like, is that, is that her? Is that Prince Harry there with the fingers…I was like, okay…good on Harry, let's go. But that's you, right? Like that's you in a way that we kind of haven't been able to see you before.”

In response, Markle argued that the clip reminded her that she leads an authentic life without focusing on what people say about her. She said, “That was four years ago... So it's also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there's still a whole life — a real, authentic, fun life — that's happening behind the scenes.” She continued, “I'm just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms.”
