Prince Harry recently reflected on his journey from being born into a life of service to discovering his purpose during an on-stage chat at the NEXUS Global Summit on June 27. The Duke of Sussex addressed an audience of 350 prospective philanthropists and investors at the event. However, several parts of his speech included pointed jabs at the royal family, who remain estranged following his bombshell allegations. Harry spoke about him and Meghan Markle living their lives 'by truth' and continuing to stand up for the difference 'between right and wrong.'

As reported by The Mirror, Harry made a barbed swipe and said, "My wife said to me very early on in our relationship: 'If you live your life by truth, it's the most efficient way to live.' We will continue to live our lives by truth, and we will continue to stand up for what we believe in — the difference between right and wrong." His well-timed words appear to draw a moral contrast between his and Markle's values and those of the royal family. His comments likely reference the couple's 2020 royal exit, which he frames as an act of standing up against wrong and injustice, in light of the alleged biased treatment Markle experienced within the royal fold.

In yet another apparent swipe, the Duke advised attendees to "take care of each other and our children in the future" and to "tackle the systems instead of the symptoms keeping us down," again likely referring to his royal departure. He also emphasized that the Archewell Foundation, which he co-founded with Markle in 2020, is built on the principles of "compassionate leadership" and dedication to "something greater than ourselves." He urged people to consider their legacies and align their investments with that vision, while using their platforms to foster meaningful 'change.'

In his speech at the event, Harry also spoke about how Markle was the "most trolled person in the world" which led to the couple championing against cyberbullying and digital harm. He said, "One of the reasons why the digital world was so important to us is because my wife, in 2018, was the most trolled person in the world. There was a lived experience, but at no point did we suddenly think, 'OK, well, let's take this industry on.'" As per CNN, in a separate 2020 podcast interview, Markle also claimed that she was the most trolled person in 2019, which, in her experience, was 'unsurvivable'.

Harry’s subtle swipe at the royal family about living his life 'by truth' was also echoed by Markle recently during a podcast interview on Aspire With Emma Grede on June 17. According to the Daily Mail, when host Emma Grede asked what she would do differently to rewrite her public narrative, Markle, seemingly referring to her time within the royal family, replied, "Yes, I would ask people to tell the truth." Taking another apparent jibe at the royals, she added, "My dear friend Serena, she told me years ago: ‘A lie can’t live forever.’ Eight years is a long time, but not forever."
