Prince Harry once opened up about how he delivered the news of his wife Meghan Markle's first pregnancy to his brother, Prince William. According to Harry, William’s reaction was short but telling—a candid four-word response that revealed his feelings at the time. In 2018, amidst the festivities of Princess Eugenie’s wedding, Harry and Markle decided it was time to break the news to those closest to them. In Spare, Harry recalls telling William at the St George’s Hall reception.
The Duke first shared the news with his father, King Charles, in his office. Charles was excited, bursting into a big smile when he found out he was about to become a grandfather again, as reported by Hello! magazine. Harry then revealed the good news to William. He recounted, “We were in a big room, suits of armor on the walls. Strange room, strange moment.” As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, William in response, blurted, “We must tell Kate.” Kate Middleton’s reaction, Harry wrote, was a 'big smile and hearty congratulations.' He added, "They both reacted exactly as I hoped...as I’d wished.”
Harry and Markle's first child, Prince Archie, was born on May 6, 2019, at Portland Hospital in London. Then Willy turned to me and said, ‘F*ck off?’” He added, “I was baffled until Willy and Kate explained that they were regular—nay, religious—viewers of Suits. ‘Great,’ I thought, laughing. I’ve been worrying about the wrong thing. All this time I’d thought Willy and Kate might not welcome Meg into the family, but now I had to worry about them hounding her for an autograph.”
Markle played lawyer Rachel Zane on Suits from 2011 to 2018, captivating viewers for seven seasons, as reported by Page Six. Once dubbed the 'Fab Four', in 2018, things reportedly soured between the couples.
