Looks like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have settled into the quiet joys of country life after an unexpected homecoming last month. Recently, the Duchess shared a glimpse of having a fun time with family on her Instagram; the carousel of images and videos depicted the Sussexes on an evening walk, Harry and the children on a fishing expedition, and Archie and Lilibet watching goats on the vast estate. Meanwhile, the couple has opened up their temporary abode to close friends, showcasing a different side of their personalities.
Markle's longtime friend, Kelly McKee Zajfen, has been spending time in the UK with her family; she recently shared an adorable post showcasing her deep connection with the Sussexes. The carousel of images featured sweet moments with her baby son, Jack.
One candid photo captured Markle tenderly fulfilling aunt duties by holding Jack at a local pub, while another showed Uncle Harry playing with the baby on the floor; the rustic, classy background looked typical of British royalty. The Sussexes are rumored to have settled in the Cotswolds; however, nothing has been confirmed. In another of Zajfen's images, Markle is depicted outdoors with friends, enjoying a glass of wine, dressed in an all-black outfit and a matching hat, playfully covering her face, highlighting the breathtaking location.
Zajfen penned an emotional note stating: "Having the best time. There’s something so special about getting a taste of this magical place with my bestie, and having my sweet Jack along for the adventure," she wrote. She expressed joy in witnessing her child's experiences and milestones, appreciating family time filled with simple pleasures like mashed peas and fish and chips, which have enriched her heart. She expressed gratitude, saying they are departing with full hearts and leaving a piece of themselves behind. She thanked everyone for their kindness towards her friend and noted that her friend missed them as well.
The pair became friends two decades ago through a connection with Markle's ex-husband. The Duchess has been a supportive friend, especially after the tragic passing of Zajfen's son, George, in July 2022. Last September, a tennis tournament was held to raise funds for children in foster care in honor of George. Zajfe described the event as an "incredible day" filled with emotions and love. When she welcomed Jack, Markle had sent her a bouquet of white roses: "Nothing like fresh-cut garden roses next to your bedside, @meghan," she had said, HELLO! reported.
