Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle Sr., is under police investigation following allegations concerning images depicting child abuse. Thomas Sr. has denied all accusations. However, a disturbing picture has allegedly been uncovered as evidence. It shows a man resembling Thomas Sr. with a girl who appears to be underage.

The material was reportedly discovered by Meghan’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., at their father’s home. He is said to have handed four boxes of evidence to the police, describing the incident as a 'sickening' discovery. Among the material was reportedly an old 35mm film negative showing a man resembling Thomas Sr. lying on a bed with an Asian girl who appeared to be underage, according to The Sun.

“When I found this material, I was horrified, and I had no option but to report my dad. I have supported, cared for him and helped him for years — but that stops now. I won’t speak to my father ever again unless I’m called to give evidence against him,” Thomas Jr. told the outlet.

Thomas, speaking to the Daily Mail from a rehabilitation centre in Florida, said the claims were “the worst thing anyone could accuse me of” and called his son’s accusations “sick lies.” He said, “I’m shocked, I’m hurt, and I’m very upset that my son is making these accusations against me. I could never do what I’m being accused of.”

The allegations are now being investigated by authorities in the Philippines. Nicholas Ty, an undersecretary at the Philippines Department of Justice, confirmed, saying, “Our Anti-Trafficking and Anti-OSAEC (online sexual abuse and exploitation of children) task force in Cebu is currently investigating the matter.”

“The FBI is aware of the allegations and will provide support, as appropriate, to the Philippine authorities. We will also investigate any related allegations of federal violations of US law,” the FBI said in a statement.

Markle has also spoken out about the allegations, saying she was “deeply distressed” by the news and thinking of any children who may have been harmed. She revealed that she had been made aware of troubling allegations against her father in 2018, after a letter about the claims was sent to the Metropolitan Police and shared with her. She cited this as the reason for never having her kids meet Thomas Sr.
