Meghan Markle Was ‘Banned’ from 'Secret Meeting' Over Fears She Might 'Outsmart' Prince Harry

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s decision to step back from the royal family sparked numerous discussions within the monarchy. This led to a key roundtable discussion, dubbed the Sandringham Summit, held by Queen Elizabeth II. The former monarch conveyed the meeting with her two direct heirs, King Charles and Prince William, and Harry. Markle, however, wasn't a part of it. Royal experts have now claimed the Duchess of Sussex was reportedly 'banned' from the important meeting as she was believed to be 'smarter’ than her husband.
The late Queen arranged a meeting at her private Norfolk estate, Sandringham, to discuss the future of the Sussexes and their relationship with the monarchy following their exit. They also decided on the next steps of their ongoing formal ties. Markle allegedly did not attend the summit as she had returned to Canada to be with Prince Archie. However, a new Channel Five documentary, Megxit: Inside the Sandringham Summit, claims that Markle offered to attend the meeting virtually, but was quickly 'banned' from it.
According to The Mirror, Journalist and expert Emily Andrews revealed the real reason why Markle was forbidden from being part of the summit. She said, “They all knew that Meghan was probably smarter, brighter, had a more linear view of where she and Harry were going and what they wanted and they probably thought they would get a better outcome with just Harry.” In a different vein, expert Richard Kay opined that the royal family did not invite the Duchess as they “would have no way of knowing who else would have been in the room with Meghan, would there have been someone making notes? They simply couldn't allow that.”
Meanwhile, Markle has addressed the Sandringham Summit and expressed her disappointment about being excluded from a key discussion about her family and future. She spoke about in the Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan. The former actress said, “Imagine a conversation, a roundtable discussion, about the future of your life, when the stakes are this high, and you as the mom, the wife, and the target in many regards aren't invited to have a seat at the table.” Expert Charlotte Griffiths agreed with Markle, while Jack Royston expressed sympathy for her, noting that she was “watching from afar as this all played out basically having no voice in the room.”
Following their exit, the Sussexes moved on to their ventures, which included some multimillion-dollar deals with Netflix and Spotify, as well as the launch of Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever. Despite their differences, Harry has expressed his desire to reconcile with his family. During his BBC interview, the Prince shared his concerns about his father's health, saying he does "not know how much longer my father has". However, none of the royal family members has officially addressed his plea. Nonetheless, many royal fans were expecting a meeting between the King and his younger son during his trip to Canada. But the meeting did not take place, as Harry, instead, went to China while his father was still in North America.
