Meghan Markle Can't Divorce Britain: Unpopular Royal 'Secretly Plotting' Bringing Relaunched Brand to U.K. Markets

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is said to be 'secretly plotting' a relaunch of herself and her new lifestyle brand in Britain.

Meghan Markle is not popular in the U.K.

Even with this frequent polling fact in mind, the Duchess and Prince Harry reportedly want to "relaunch the Sussex brand" in Britain and are said to be seeking PR representation in King Charles III's kingdom. The "risky" move is said to be part of the ex-Suits star's rollout of her new lifestyle venture, American Riviera Orchard.

"I suspect it's also got something to do with the big plans that we're hearing about that Meghan is going to launch this big commercial project," royal expert Rebecca English told an outlet. "I presume this commercial project will have some sort of residence in this country."

A recent poll conducted by The Evening Standard in Britain found that Meghan scored just 7 percent in a ranking of the royals, which was right under Harry with 11 percent. Despite this, the former actress' new brand has already amassed over 500,000 Instagram followers in under a week and is said to eventually tie in with a Netflix cooking show. Although unpopular in the country, one palace insider dished that the culinary show's numbers could take off in Britain.

"Never underestimate them. Nobody wholly likes them in this nation, but millions will tune in out of curiosity," they shared.

The source further added: "Millions more will hate-watch the venture just so they can tear it apart online and at the water cooler the next day. Either way, Harry and Meghan win because it's all about ratings."

Another expert feels that if the pair truly want to revitalize themselves in the United Kingdom, it should be through charitable endeavors — not celebrity pursuits.

"Harry and Meghan need to stay away from the Hollywood limelight and avoid the British celebrity circuit," PR expert Carla Speight dished. "They need to focus on the kind of humanitarian work that seems to get overshadowed by all the tabloid gossip and drama that is always revolving around them."

She also feels that if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex can no longer perform royal-backed charity work, they should still carry on with these avenues privately. "They still perform duties as if they were royals, they still promote and support a lot of charities, as they would do if they were in The Firm."

Harry and Meghan left the royal family and Britain over four years ago, and for many in the country, all the drama surrounding "Megxit" is still how they remember the pair. Although the Duke of Sussex has returned to his homeland several times, Meghan has not set foot in the nation since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.
