King Charles Feeling He Has a 'Duty To Care' For Andrew Is Not a 'Good Look' For The Monarchy
King Charles may have stripped his younger brother, former Prince Andrew, of his Royal titles, but familial feelings are not that easy to let go of. It had probably become necessary to create some distance between the disgraced Royal and the rest of the Royal Family, but still, as an older sibling, the King probably feels it's his duty to take care of his younger brother - even if things between them are strained at the moment.
Until recently, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had been keeping himself out of the spotlight, even before his Royal titles were stripped off, but on Monday, he was seen riding horses for the first time in seven weeks. He and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, are still staying in the Royal Lodge for now, but will soon have to vacate their once home. And this has definitely been hard-hitting for both of them. Both of them have been staying put inside the Royal Lodge since the announcement, and are bound to be getting a bit stir crazy with little to no outside interaction. An insider recently revealed: “I gather Andrew and Fergie are both feeling the strain. Their family and friends are worried about their mental health and the King does feel he has a duty of care to his brother."
But Andrew being spotted riding horses, which he used to do regularly before he had his titles removed, won't sit well with many. One of them being his new neighbors, the Wales Royal couple, who recently moved to their "forever home," the Forest Lodge, with their three children. Their new home is pretty close to the Royal Lodge, and seeing Andrew still leading the life he used to before being stripped of his titles might cause a little tension with them.
“It’s really not a good look. The King won’t be happy that his brother has been photographed riding in the grounds of Windsor Castle, which after all, is funded by the taxpayer. That move to Sandringham can’t come soon enough to get him away from Windsor.”
The former couple are allegedly being holed up in the Royal Lodge for the time being, before they make a move to their respective destinations. Andrew will be moving to Sandringham - a private estate that belongs to his brother, the King, and his ex-wife could be going anywhere, just not with Andrew. Whether it ends up being to the coastal areas of Portugal or the USA, is yet to be revealed.
