Even though Kate Middleton wasn't with Queen Elizabeth on her 95th birthday, the mom-of-three still made sure to honor her while making her first public appearance since Prince Philip's funeral.
On Wednesday, April 21, Kate, 39, and her husband, Prince William, visited the Air Cadets of the Royal Air Force. The brunette beauty wore a black outfit, which she accessorized with the Queen's pearl earrings.

This is hardly the first time Kate has borrowed jewelry from Her Majesty, who turned 95 on April 21.
At Prince Philip's funeral, which occurred on April 17, Kate wore the Queen's pearl necklace and veil; Kate previously wore it to the Queen and Prince Philip's 70th wedding anniversary dinner in 2017, and Princess Diana previously donned them, too.
The Queen's birthday looked a bit different this year, especially since she celebrated without her husband for the first time in over seven decades.
First, she posted a lengthy message on social media.
“I have, on the occasion of my 95th birthday today, received many messages of good wishes, which I very much appreciate. While as a family we are in a period of great sadness, it has been a comfort to us all to see and to hear the tributes paid to my husband, from those within the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world,” she began.
“My family and I would like to thank you for all the support and kindness shown to us in recent days. We have been deeply touched, and continue to be reminded that Philip had such an extraordinary impact on countless people throughout his life," she added.
Later on, it was revealed that “the Queen had a somber birthday this year,” a source told Us Weekly. “She’s grieving the loss of her beloved husband, Prince Philip, and spent the day with her corgis. She spoke to family members who are rallying together to keep her company.”
“Prince Philip’s passing has hit the queen harder than expected, but she’s remaining calm and collected,” the insider added. “She’s strong and I’m sure she’ll pull through.”
