Prince Harry Reveals Prince Archie's Peculiar Request Before Starting School
Both Harry and Meghan shared a rare glimpse of their children adjusting to their life in the UK after relocating from California.
Prince Archie’s life has undergone a significant transition following his parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, unexpected return to the UK in August. After attending a school near his home in Montecito, the 7-year-old is now adapting to the traditional British education system. However, humorously, Archie presented his parents with a condition that might have made them scratch their heads.

Prince Harry gave a rare glimpse of his son's personality while visiting Nottingham with Markle on Thursday. The pair greeted schoolchildren outside the Community Recording Studio (CRS), their first engagement of the day. During which Harry shared a funny, relatable anecdote about Archie trying to avoid a school subject. “Do you like maths?” Harry asked, revealing that he loved the subject himself.
He then revealed that Archie hated it and wanted to attend a school that did not teach the subject. The Duke recalled Archie asking, “Can I go to a school that doesn’t do maths?” To which the Duke bluntly replied. “It doesn’t exist!” It did not end there; Harry recounted that Archie faced maths as his first class on the first day at his new school, circumventing his attempt to avoid the subject. The refreshing, light-hearted banter was shared on Instagram by journalist Alex Seale; you can watch it here.

As the children have settled into the UK lifestyle, a close source to the Sussexes revealed that Markle is keen to support more causes close to her heart, and the Nottingham visit was just the beginning. "She's up for it," a friend told HELLO! "There are still causes, and there are still issues that Meghan is really passionate about supporting, and Nottingham is one of those."
The Sussexes' return to the UK marks a significant moment, as it was their first engagement as a couple there since their return. Nottingham holds a meaningful place for them. However, their public appearances are expected to be limited in the coming year. The source explained that Markle will prioritize her children, her brand As Ever, her acting career, and charitable activities, with a busy schedule managed by a capable team, as her children are now in school full-time. "They've got the kids settled. Archie and Lili are really enjoying school. She is able to now stick her head above the parapet a little bit more," the source added.

Meanwhile, in a similar instance, Markle revealed the one sports activity that makes Princess Lilibet happy. During her interactions with young girls who had gathered for a bracelet-making activity at CRS, the Duchess asked, “When do you feel most yourselves?” One of the girls replied that she enjoyed doing gymnastics. Markle quickly added, “My daughter’s doing gymnastics right now. She loves it."
