Harry and Meghan’s Dramatic UK Return Put Under the Microscope in New Documentary
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are back in the spotlight as a new documentary examines their return.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been trying to settle into their new lives in the United Kingdom alongside their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. After six years away from Britain and royal life, the Sussexes are trying to re-establish their presence in Harry’s homeland. This explains the Duke’s recent appearances at the WellChild Awards 2026 and Invictus fundraiser as well as the Duchess of Sussex’s low-key outings, such as her visits to a SOHO Farmhouse outside of London and a local pub with Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi. The move will reportedly be featured in an Impact x Nightline special, ABC News' weekly segment, titled Harry & Meghan: The Return of the Prince. The documentary aims to cover every angle of their move, taking a deep dive to “unpack Harry and Meghan’s public falling-out with the royal family and the potential ramifications of their return.” As the episode’s logline reads, “With the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death approaching, will the tension within palace walls give way to a royal reconciliation, or will the divide between the rival courts only grow wider?” Furthermore, according to a recent report by Town & Country, the documentary seeks to examine what this homecoming means for the couple's future and ongoing royal rifts.
Beyond this, the documentary episode will feature an extensive lineup of commentary.
