Fergie Allegedly Sought Help From Epstein To Launch Her Company That Supports Mothers
Trigger Warning: This article contains themes of sexual abuse that some readers may find distressing.
Long before Jeffrey Epstein became the household name for disgrace across the world, newly released documents suggest he remained a major point of contact for members of Britain’s royal orbit for business advice. Among them, the latest files indicate, was Sarah Ferguson, who appears to have sought his guidance while he was serving time for a child s-- offence.
According to documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice, the former Duchess of York was in contact with Epstein in 2009, as she attempted to establish a commercial venture called Mothers Army, a project aimed at supporting and amplifying the voices of mothers worldwide. The correspondence took place while Epstein was imprisoned in Florida for soliciting s-- from a minor. This conviction had already placed him beyond the pale in many public and professional circles. The emails show Ferguson, referred to as 'Sarah,' directly asking Epstein for help getting the venture off the ground. In a message dated 14 June 2009, she wrote, “I need to ask you how I start The Mothers Army company so it can be commercial, how do I do that? Can you help me?”
Just days later, she sent another email, on 26 June 2009, in which 'Sarah' told Epstein, “I am alive... yes, I did go to the first lady, and she loved the Mothers Army. I am going to call you later. Love you.” Mothers Army was later registered under the name Sarah Margaret Ferguson, with a listed address at Royal Lodge, Windsor Great Park, according to Companies House records, making it obvious that it was the former Duchess of York. The company described its mission as being set up “to help amplify the voices of Mothers all over the world.”
Further correspondence suggests the project remained a point of discussion years later. In a 2011 email to a recipient listed as 'Ferg,' Epstein wrote, “of course you can have mothers army, it was always for you„ Im not sure how to transfer it, but rest assured, it is your in its entirety, I will ask how the transfer is accomplished, we just want to be careful that there is no downside at the moment to have a transaction between you and I.” The documents are proof of sustained contact between Ferguson and Epstein following his release from prison on 22 July 2009, after serving 13 months of an 18-month sentence. Emails reviewed by BBC News indicate that the pair planned to meet in person just days later, at Epstein’s Palm Beach home.
An internal exchange between Epstein and one of his assistants — whose name and email address have been redacted — discusses travel arrangements for 'Sarah Ferguson' and two assistants. The email notes, “She wants to fly from London to Miami on Sunday, come to see you Monday, then fly to NYC, and back to London from there.”
