Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson became social pariahs after new revelations about their scandalous ties to Jeffrey Epstein surfaced. In the aftermath, the former Duke and Duchess of York were forced to renounce their royal titles and give up Royal Lodge, which has been their home for 17 years. As their leaked emails to Epstein sparked outrage, sources say their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were more upset with Ferguson than their dad.

In an article for The Daily Mail, royal expert Rebecca English spoke to sources running in the York Circle. She claimed that while the Princesses 'went out of their way' to support their embattled father, they did not extend the same kindness to their mother. She penned, "In particular, the girls were said to have been deeply shocked by the publication in The Mail on Sunday of an email sent by Sarah to Jeffrey Epstein apologizing for calling him 'the P word' in an interview distancing herself from him in 2011." The sister's anger seemed justified, considering that days after the leak, Ferguson claimed to have sent the message to protect her daughters.

After both their parents' emails went public, English noted that Beatrice and Eugenie were left 'severely embarrassed.' However, she pinpointed that Eugenie, in particular, took the matter more personally. Known for her humanitarian work and as co-founder of The Anti-Slavery Collective, she has long championed causes against human trafficking. Against that backdrop, Ferguson's association with Epstein cast an unfortunate shadow over her charitable efforts. The expert continued, "I would actually go so far as to say that they are even more disappointed in their mother than their father now...Obviously, they will continue to support their parents, but they feel so let down."

English further claimed that Fergie and Mountbatten Windsor, who cohabited together even after their divorce, are no longer supporting each other. She revealed that Ferguson is reportedly not answering her ex-husband's calls and feels unfairly dragged into the scandal. "She [Ferguson] has always found a way to bounce back from the many public scandals she has faced over the years…It's why, I am told, Sarah is even considering moving abroad in a bid to escape the fallout."

As for how their daughters are handling the fallout of it all, both King Charles and Prince William reportedly believe Beatrice and Eugenie should stand tall amid their parents' scandals. Royal photographer Arthur Edwards also echoed the same in an essay for The Sun, where he wrote, "While their parents may have been brought down by scandal, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie can hold their heads high. The girls are wonderful assets to the royal family, and neither of them has ever put a foot wrong."
